McLEOD USA, OVERCOMING THE VoIP ADVANTAGE
One of the big technical issues that a traditional switch vendor can't overcome when competing with a Hosted VOIP solution is re-pointing a number or "DID". A hosted VOIP solution allows the client to log onto a web site and under password control, re-point his or her DID at another phone number. So if you are working from home, all you have to do in log on and have the service provider route all of your calls to your home, cell or whatever you want. It makes for a great way to work from home without tying up trunks for in and out calls on a traditional switch. How do you overcome it?
McLeod USA offers an Integrated Access circuit that allows you to deliver a full 23 channel PRI as well as Internet connectivity at a minimum of 1 Meg, up to a full T when no calls are up and the ability to re-point your DID's from a web access without tying up trunks to the switch you sold them. Price is as low as $600.00 a month for the service, both voice and Internet.
TO RE-CAP WHAT YOU GET:
AN ISDN T-1 PRI service, 23B+D,
Internet connectivity up to T1 (when no calls are up) and a minimum of a meg when all 23 channels are busy.
AND THE BIGGIE!!!
The ability to re-point a DID from the provider and not tie up two trunks on the T1 to the premise switch.
